• Bring measuring tape: For any furniture or bigger decorative pieces that you’re looking to bid on, it’s a good idea to bring a measuring tape to help you decide if you have room in your home for it.

• Let others start the bid: You don’t always have to be the first one to set the bid, as your bid will contribute to increasing the bid to a higher price. However, auctions can run fast, so once you see the bid increasing, it’s time to jump in with your bid.

• Don’t leave too early: Estate auctions could last for hours, and some people leave before it ends. This means it’s a perfect opportunity to find pieces at great deals, with less competition!
